Radical Relationship Coaching

About Me

I'm joon seong (they/ them) / 이준성 / amanda ~ a justice-oriented radical relationship guide and accountability partner.

I help courageous, intentional, compassionate individuals reconnect with their inherent self-worth and inner knowing so they can live more present, choiceful lives. Together, we are remaking a more healed, liberated world. For over a decade, I supported a wide variety of organizations and individuals in bringing their visions for a better world to life. With patience, care, and purposeful curiosity, I partner with you to navigate the transition from where you are to where you want to be.

As a queer, gender expansive, neuroemergent, sometimes disabled, korean & american interracial adoption survivor, I am rooted in the unshakeable strength, resilience, and determination of my ancestors. I honor these legacies of survival by living a liberated life—one that I choose, guided by what's real and alive within me rather than what's expected. This radical relationship practice is the fruit of my commitment to living on purpose.I live on the unceded and rightful land of the Coast Salish peoples with my cat companion, escher. I am also a trusted caregiver to many more-than-human animal friends, an avid reader, and a pretty okay climber (working on softening my fear of heights).

About

I support individuals who are transforming themselves in service of a more healed, whole world—those who know that our personal healing sends ripples through our relationships and communities, making it more possible to boldly choose and act in alignment. We live within systems that try to keep us disempowered, controlled, and fragmented. When we move beyond understanding ourselves as competitors, producers, and consumers, the truth of who we are—our hopes, desires, and capabilities—can be revealed. This work requires unlearning shame, disconnection, and fear and remembering more dignified ways of relating that colonialism and other systems of domination want us to forget.

My work is grounded in the belief that we are what we practice. My commitment to you is a soft place to land: a generative space to dream, be witnessed, clumsily practice new ways of being, explore what you know to be true at your core—and what you have yet to uncover. I hold space for where you’ve been and where you are today in order to support you in moving toward a more liberated life. This isn’t therapy, advising, or consulting; it’s radical relationship work. You don’t need to show up healed. You just need to be willing to be seen.My intention is for you to leave every session feeling closer to your Self. And on days when that feels too far away, you will leave knowing you’re not alone.

Who This Is Meant For

Every opportunity to partner with thoughtful collaborators who are committed to intentionally moving through the world is a humbling gift. You might feel called to work with me if you:

  • Feel like you’re living by a script you didn’t write and are tired of performing. You’re drawn to a more authentic, choiceful life and are ready for a change.

  • See yourself as a recovering perfectionist, high achiever, or people-pleaser. The one who seems to have it all figured out and, on the inside, feels anxious, dissatisfied, burnt out—and forever worrying you’ll be outed as an imposter.

  • Find that you “have it all” and still sense that something’s missing. Maybe you already know what that is—a whisper of an idea that you’re curious to explore, or a persistent, “I can’t wait any longer!” calling you to live more fully. Or perhaps that’s what you’re ready to find out.

  • Feel confronted by a gap between your values and actions. You’re self-reflective, care about your relationships and collective liberation, and are willing to go deep in order to live into new ways of being.

  • Have often felt like an outsider. You live by your own rules, and your perspectives, values, and decisions might be considered unconventional by others. It can feel like a gift or a burden (or both, at times), the weight of which has become too much to carry alone.

  • Are well-practiced in moving towards what fulfills you. You have tools, insights, and supports to draw from and still feel stuck in some liminal area of your life.

areas of support

In our work together, you're always invited to bring the inquiries, challenges, and goals that feel most present. Some experiences that I continue to navigate and especially appreciate supporting others in include (and are not limited to):

  • Values alignment—reconnecting to what you actually hold true, bridging the gap between your core beliefs and your actions. We might focus on defining your values and making them actionable; identifying & shifting inherited patterns; aligning your paid work with your values…

  • Nepantlera life—the beautiful, painful reality of existing in between identities and spaces; weaving in and out of discovery and discomfort, connection and longing, celebration and grief.

  • Nurturing generative relationships—creating supportive, mutually choiceful relationships with yourself and others. We might focus on nonviolent communication skills; unlearning carceral ways of relating; navigating estranged relationships; practicing accountability & repair...

  • Relationship anarchy—moving away from hierarchy in relationships, towards autonomy and self-determination. We might focus on deepening platonic relationships; unlearning mononormativity; being your own primary partner; queering relationships; co-creating commitments…

  • Self-reclamation—re-membering your inherently worthy Self. We might focus on identifying & communicating boundaries, desires, and needs; excavating learned narratives about your identity/ies; navigating a neurobland world with a neurospicy mind; piecing together who you are outside of the stories you were taught about yourself…
